Your Dreams Are Not Out of Reach

ree

It took me four years to get this piece of paper in my hand: a master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University. I also have a few more letters after my name: RDN (registered dietitian nutritionist). Four years ago, when I walked into my Chemistry 101 class, getting these seemed impossible. It wasn’t. Completing 1,200 internship hours in settings I’ve never worked in before sounded impossible. It wasn’t. Passing my graduate comprehensive exam—done (gulp) orally in a room with my professors—seemed impossible. It wasn’t. Passing a national exam to receive my RDN credential sounded impossible. It wasn't.

A key lesson I learned through this entire process: silence those inner voices that constantly tell you "your dreams are out of reach." They're not.
