Want to improve your health but don't know where to start?
The sheer amount of nutrition information from online sources is staggering. Many people claim to know what's best for your health. Some may boast titles like "health coach" or "nutrition expert" or have a large social media following but lack the experience or education to effectively counsel people on nutrition-related matters.

That's where I differ.
Why work with me?
Having already counseled hundreds of patients, my style is both compassionate and nonjudgmental. My focus is to establish a partnership with clients to help them reach their health/nutrition goals while addressing barriers that might get in the way of their progress.

I'm also credentialed as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). All RDNs have to go through an extensive process to get this title. I attended an accredited university and completed coursework in a variety of fields, from chemistry to psychology. Obtaining a master's degree is a requirement. I've learned how the mind and body operate in order to address the unique challenges that come with nutrition counseling. I've also completed 1,000-plus supervised practice hours in a variety of different settings and passed a national exam before receiving my RDN title.

Personalized guidance in weight management
I understand the complex struggles around maintaining and reaching a healthy weight. That's why weight management is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're looking to lose weight, maintain a healthy lifestyle, or simply enhance your well-being, I'm here to support you every step of the way. I use a unique blend of medical nutrition therapy and motivational interviewing to help personalize goals that cater to you. I'll help you realize how your eating patterns and behaviors may impact health. More importantly, I make sure the foods you love are not eliminated from your dietary pattern.

If prescribed a weight loss medication, including a GLP-1, I'll show you how pairing lifestyle changes (including healthy eating and physical activity) along with taking these medications can lead to long-term success.
My other areas of interest include:
-
heart health (including concerns with high cholesterol and high blood pressure)
-
prediabetes/diabetes
-
kidney disease
-
GI issues
-
how nutrition can aid mental health
