About Fred Durso, MS, RDN
Welcome! I'm Fred Durso, an award-winning journalist and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with more than a decade's worth of experience creating captivating content for a variety of publications and organizations. I also offer tailored and individualized counseling sessions on nutrition-related issues.
I got my start as a Philadelphia newspaper reporter before packing my bags and heading to Boston. There, I held numerous roles as a staff writer, magazine editor, and communications manager for a variety of nonprofit publications.
Over time, I developed a deep interest on how food impacts the body. In 2019, I pressed pause on my journalism career and headed to grad school. Countless lecture and lab hours later, I eventually received a master's degree in food and nutrition and became credentialed as an RDN.
I now counsel individuals both in person and virtually on how to achieve their weight management goals and discover how food can help prevent or better manage certain diseases. Book a virtual, nutrition counseling session with me today if you need any support.
I currently live in Salem (Witch City), Massachusetts, with my husband, Jeff, and our basset hound, Lyla.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
